Xan Stepp

Visiting Lecturer of Spanish Language

Overview

Xan Stepp is a Visiting Lecturer in Spanish. He holds a BS in Physics/Astronomy and an MA in Comparative Studies from Brigham Young University, an MA in Medieval Icelandic Studies from the University of Iceland, and a PhD in Medieval Studies from Cornell University. Xan teaches Spanish courses as well as Freshman Writing Seminars in the Knight Writing Institute. His research interests include medieval Norse, English, and Celtic literatures; maritime culture; contact with “the other”; and Norse contacts with Eastern Europe and the Near East.
