Language:
No cancellations are permitted for language classes; if you are ill or need replacement for another reason, you are to seek a substitute among the rest of the teachers of the course and inform the course coordinator of your substitution prior to class time.
Literature:
Faculty who have to cancel class due to outside commitments must advise the Chair with a copy to Cal Hile (clh2@cornell.edu). You are responsible for arranging for replacement teaching and notifying your students well in advance that you if you must reschedule a class.
NOTE: Any teaching member of the department must notify the Chair when they will be away during the semester they are being paid to teach. Short term leaves policy can be found here.
