Summer language courses return to Romance Studies

Have you always wanted to take some extra French classes or brush up on your Spanish, but you somehow do not feel you have the time during the very busy Cornell semesters? Or maybe you are disappointed because you won’t be able to travel this summer, but you really want to be ready for a more advanced course when this nightmare of a pandemic is over? Maybe you were just admitted to Cornell, still in High School or a member of the Ithaca community and want to take some extra language credits? The Department has you covered!

We are, for the first time in a while, offering online 3-week intensive classes in French and Spanish over the summer session! French is offered at the “novice high” level (FREN 1120 which is a course similar to FREN 1220) and Spanish at the “intermediate low” level (SPAN 1230).

Check our website https://romancestudies.cornell.edu/spanish-undergraduate or the Cornell Summer Sessions https://sce.cornell.edu/courses/programs/summer for prerequisites and contact the instructors if you have questions:

FRENCH: Claire Ménard (cm879@cornell.edu) and SPANISH: Emilia Illana Mahiques (ei78@cornell.edu).
