Overview
Tatiana is a Ph.D. candidate in Romance Studies exploring the relationship between literature and politics in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Latin America. Her dissertation examines the intersections of twentieth-century Latin American poetry, crisis, and modernity, focusing on how metapoetic language allows poetry to pose theoretical questions and contribute new perspectives to debates on Latin America modernity. Her broader research interests extend to film studies, specifically the dynamics of the gaze as they shape the relationship between form and content.
Tatiana holds a B.A. in Spanish and Classical Philology and a second B.A. in Literary Studies from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She also earned an M.A. in Literature from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
